So she set the little creature down, and felt quite relieved to see it trot away quietly into the wood. ‘If it had grown up,’ she said to herself, ‘it would have made a dreadfully ugly child: but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.’ And she began thinking over other children she knew, who might do very well as pigs, and was just saying to herself, ‘if one only knew the right way to change them—’ when she was a little startled by seeing the Cheshire Cat sitting on a bough of a tree a few yards off.

The Cat only grinned when it saw Alice. It looked good-natured, she thought: still it had VERY long claws and a great many teeth, so she felt that it ought to be treated with respect.

Are you thinking, what?! Well, I just wanted to see if you were really reading this. 🙂  In all seriousness, here goes…

I am a former teacher turned WordPress Assembler who owns her own company, ella j designs. Building a small business using WordPress has been a very rewarding (and occasionally exasperating white screen of death type of) experience. I am currently extending my services to include digital marketing and am very excited to be branching out.

Nick is a Web Developer at Oomph. He is a recent graduate for Johnson and Wales Graphic Design program. Nick loves UI/UX and finding simple solutions to complex problems.

Rachel Avery Conley is a photographer, designer, and dabbler in all things WordPress. With creative training from Hofstra University & MassArt, she found herself working in administration at CSAIL at MIT for years. While she loved where she was working, she did not love what she was doing. In 2010, Rachel left MIT to open her own photography business, rac portraits, specializing in children & family portraiture. Recently, Rachel has added another business, the Photographer’s Blogger, a blogging service for imaging professionals working on WordPress platforms. For fun, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, toddler son, and two baby cats.

Lydia Rogers‘ background is in helping organizations and businesses develop their websites, create content for those websites, and plan social media strategies. She has a Master’s Degree in Media Studies (New and Traditional Media) from Rhode Island College and a B.A. in Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College. Her software and computer skills include WordPress website development, HTML, CSS, and many of the Adobe software programs.

Luke Gedeon is a Web Developer at 10up working with Jake Goldman one of the founders of the Providence WordPress Meetup, the group that organized this WordCamp. Luke is an organizer for both the monthly meetups and the annual WordCamp in Providence.

Kanga Bell is a local freelancer who designs and builds custom WordPress themes. She specializes in simple design for small businesses, artists, and creative professionals.

I have been designing and developing websites since 1999. I fell in love with it after a class in high school and never looked back. After graduating with a Web Management and Internet Commerce B.S. degree from Johnson & Wales University three things happened. I got married and started a beautiful family, was invited back to JWU to teach as a professor and I got a great job at Astonish.
